comments: Hi everybody. Miss everyone from NESLAB. Working on the SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) program here on a wicked big radio telescope antenna. The brackets that hold the dish up get out of alignment all the time from the sun and guess who has to go bang them back into shape! Kind of scary at times but have only fallen off once. Sprained an ankle but that was all. I have a little cabin right on site and it is cozy.
I get used books to read from eBay and I have a lantern and a little battery powered shortwave radio and a propane refrigerator so I can have a cold beer (one per game - beer is hard to get here) and listen to the Red Sox games if the conditions are good. Not much of a social scene here - downtown Portsmouth this ain't! I don't go out much at night, there are big bugs out there.
