Writing Essays

Whenever I have some free time, a piece of paper and a pen, I tend to write essays. When I travel alone, the need becomes stronger. I like essays because I can write about anything I like without taxing my brain. It is like talking to myself. Occasionally I submit my essays to Nichibei Times. Mr. Okada, the President of Nichibei Times, encourages me to write more often.

I always wanted to publish at least 1 book before I die. They say that anybody can. So I did. I published a book called "Saibaba no Okurimono" from Kindai Bungeisha in Tokyo. Unfortunately it is written in Japanese. If I should translate the book into English, its title would be "The Gifts from Sai Baba." It was published on May 10, 1997. It is based on the experience of my second trip to India. If you can read Japanese and would like to read my book, please contact Kindai Bungeisha. The address is 2-13-2 Mejirodai, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Its phone No. is 011-81-3-3942-0869 and the Fax No. is 011-81-3-3943-1232. The price of the book is 1500 yen plus tax. You can order it from Amazon Japan and Yahoo! JAPAN.

Here are some of my essays. If you can read Japanese, please enjoy yourself!
