- Graduated with the Doctor of Science in Engineering Degree (Sc.D.), 1968. My major was Electrical Engineering.
- Conducted research for, prepared and successfully defended my doctoral dissertation: "An application of correlation radiometry to the study of plasma radiation", under faculty advisors Prof. Thomas C. Marshall and Prof. S. Perry Schlesinger.
- My doctoral research was carried out in the Plasma Physics Laboratory, which was then supported by an interdepartmental program in plasma physics among three academic departments: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Physics.
