The following is a list of academic institutions in Colorado. The primary list includes institutions which support extensive research activities. The "Other Colleges and Universities" have less focus on research.
At the end of this page, there is a list of "Virtual Universities", several of which are based in Colorado.

The following links are to "Virtual" universities, which are academic institutions which provide interactive education and training through the WWW, cable-TV, CD-ROM, and/or video tape means. Each of the following are accredited (or soon plan to be) by an appropriate accreditation agency. An attempt has been made to include virtual universities that offer a somewhat comprehensive selection of course subjects and degree programs, however the reader is advised to consider that there are many specialized training courses offered on the WWW that may not be listed here.
