Geometric Visualization of Parallel Resistors

The red lines,"R1" and "R2", represent the resistance of two resistors. The parallel circuit combination of these two resistors forms a combined resistance represented by the short red line, "R". R = (R1)(R2)/(R1 + R2) and is constructed by drawing the green lines and locating their mutual intersection. Note that R is independent of the separation distance between points B and E.
