m2. Hannah Bass; b. June 22, 1667, Braintree; d. Oct. 24, 1705; in 1688. Hannah is the daughter of John Bass and Ruth Alden. Ruth Alden is the daughter of John Alden who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620 at Plymouth.
m. Susanna Boylston; b. Mar. 5, 1708/9, Brookline MA; d. Apr. 17, 1797, Quincy MA; on Oct. 31, 1734. She is the daughter of Peter Boylston and Ann White. Joseph and Susanna had 3 children: John, Peter, and Elihu. Their son, John Adams (1735-1826) became President of the United States, and their grandson, John Quincy Adams (1767-1848) also became President of the U.S.

Joseph Adams (Jr.)(1654-1736/7) lived all his life in Braintree MA.
He was a farmer. Joseph Adams (Jr.) and Hannah Bass are grandparents of Pres. John Adams.
