m. Susanna Boylston; b. Mar. 5, 1708/9, Brookline MA; d. Apr. 17, 1797, Quincy MA; on Oct. 31, 1734. She is the daughter of Peter Boylston and Ann White. Joseph and Susanna had 3 children: John, Peter, and Elihu. Their son, John Adams (1735-1826) became President of the United States, and their grandson, John Quincy Adams (1767-1848) also became President of the U.S.

Hannah Bass(1667-1705) lived all her life in Braintree MA.
He was a farmer. Hannah Bass and Joseph Adams (Jr.) are grandparents of Pres. John Adams.
