Dirck (a.k.a. Richard) Middagh Vermeulen; b. Jan. 27, 1783, chr. Apr. 20, 1783; d. Feb. 18, 1761. Dirck was a "well known" physician in NYC, having been a student of the famous Dr. Benjamin Rush of Philadelphia.

Cornelius C. Vermeulen; b. Jan. 24, 1787. Cornelius studied medicine under Dr. Benjamin Rush of Philadelphia, joined the faculty of Rutgers College, became the Pastor of the Dutch Reformed Church of Harlem, NYC. His son, Edmund C. Vermeule, served the Union Navy with distinction in the Civil War.

Margaret and John had two sons, Cornelius Vermeule Clarkson, and Frederick Clarkson, who both became medical doctors in New York City.

Isaac Davis Vermeulen; b. Sept. 7, 1793; chr. Dec. 15, 1793 in Warren Plains (now North Plainfield) NJ; d. Dec. 7, 1823.
m. Mary Field on Jan. 3, 1818. She was the daughter of Dennis Field and Mary Boice.
Isaac and Mary had 3 children: Dennis Field Vermeule, Adrian Vermeule, and Mary Elizabeth Vermeule.
Elizabeth Middagh (1765-1847), daughter and only child of Dirck Middagh. Jr. (1757-1824), Col. in the Amer. Rev., and Margaret Davis (or Margrit Davis/Davets/Davitz) (1742-1825) who is said to be buried in the Davis burying grounds, Franklin Township, NJ, according to the Middagh reference below, however, it is more likely she and her husband, Dirck Middagh, Jr. are buried elsewhere, perhaps in Somerset County in a Dutch Reformed Church Cemetery or on a private farm property.
