Brief Biography:

Cornelis Jans van der Meulen (1540-___?) was born in Antwerp, later became a citizen of Arnemuiden, Holland, and it is thought that he came to Holland with the Protestant "Water Beggars". He later returned to Catholicism and to Antwerp. His tomb at the Antwerp Cathedral says: "Cornelis Vermeulen".
