Breckje Hansen Bergen*; chr. July 27, 1642, at the New Amsterdam Dutch Reformed Church. She was born in New Amsterdam to Hans Hansen Bergen* and Sarah Rapalje*. Hans was a shipwright who was born in Bergen, Norway, and had migrated to Amesterdam. Then he emigrated to New Amsterdam. Sarah, his second wife, was the first woman born in the Colony of the New Netherlands.
