Thank you very much for your support! By purchasing Premium Shredded Hardwood Mulch through our troop, you are helping the scouts pay for the cost of activities, uniforms, and outdoor gear. You may be able to deduct a portion of the sales price from your taxes as a charitable donation, as well.

Mulch protects and beautifies your landscaping! Here are some recommendations for effective mulching from the Virginia Cooperative Extension at Virginia Tech and Virginia State University. (The link will open in a new window or tab.) A large, 3-cubic foot bag of mulch covers an 18 square-foot area to a depth of two inches.

Our handy mulch calculator, at right, assumes the recommended 4-foot ring around each tree - just enter the number of trees (count a tree over 1 ft in diameter as 2 trees.) Flower beds, patio areas, walking paths, playsets, and other contiguous areas may be entered directly in square feet; that number will be added directly to the overall estimate when calculating the total area and the number of bags needed. For your convenience, clicking the "Transfer" button will put the current bag estimate into the order form below.

Free delivery! The scouts will deliver your order (minimum 5 bags, please) to your curbside or driveway within approximately 10 miles of Dranesville, VA. (Please click here for more information on our delivery area.)

Please place your order by February 28th, 2012. Your mulch will be delivered on March 17th, 2012 7am-9pm -- rain or shine.

We sold out last year, so place your order early to ensure availability!
