LESSON OBJECTIVES:

Assure good decision making skills relating to preflight planning, route and checkpoint selection, and contingency planning are used.
Review primary navigation topics, estimates and diversions to assure pilot proficiency.
Assure understanding of limitations of radio communication and navigation in mountainous areas.
Develop proficiency in takeoffs and landings at narrow, uphill and obstructed airfields.
Develop confidence related to flight in vicinity of terrain.
