Chelsea clocks are unique in that the cases are made of the highest grade of American forged brass. They are not cast or stamped out of thin metal. The striking mechanism strikes a gun-metal blue gong which is mounted to the inside of the case, causing the entire clock case to resonate with the wonderful deep tone which can only come from a Chelsea. Lesser clocks actually have holes drilled in the cases so the sound of a bell can escape. You won't find that sort of thing here!
Chelsea clocks are offered in a number of different series. Please peruse this page and scroll down for links to pages of other models and styles.
ShipStrike Clocks
The Chelsea Shipstrike series offers the same heavy American forged brass case found in the Ship's Bell series with a movement meticulously made to provide great longevity and reliability of service for generations to come while also offering a very attractive price. The rich, deep tone for which Chelsea clocks are known can ring in your home or on your desk at a very affordable price often less than that of lesser clocks stamped out of sheet metal.

The Mariner and Pilot are truly special clocks. Harking back to an original Chelsea Design from the 1930's, these clocks are even larger, based on the six-inch-dial Ship's Bell clock. Added to this are a forged brass ship's wheel for the Pilot and a forged brass ship's wheel and base for the Mariner. Truly massive, the Mariner weighs close to thirty pounds in solid craftsmanship! These are being made as limited editions. When they are gone there will be no more. The rich tone of a Chelsea Ship's Bell Clock is enhanced by the contrast of gleaming polished brass, genuine silver dial and bronze-finished brass accents.
