Hi, my name is JJ. Bonnie Raitt is new to my MOOD MUSIC favorites list, but I'm an instant fan. I admire her persistence, to wait patiently for her time "in the sun".. It certainly seems the wait was well worth it for Bonnie.
I have always been aware of Bonnie Raitt as an interesting folk/rock/blues singer, who can play a mean guitar. I think it was "I Can't Make You Love Me" that really caught my attention, and I find now that she's knocking out one hit after another. Luckily I attended the 2nd stop in her current Fundamental tour, right here in Phoenix Arizona at our beautiful Symphony Hall, on April 20th, 1998. What an entertainer!! She really brought the house down, and it was delightful to see how much she enjoyed the concert.. so many artists turn up the house lights after the first encore, but Bonnie came out again and again, and the audience was mesmerized by her performance!!!
Unusual for me, I really loved the songs on her new Fundamental LP at the
first hearing; she performed most of them at the concert.
