Katarzyna Wierzba was born on April 14, 1851 in Skwierawy, Kreis Berent, West Prussia (Lipusz, Poland), the daughter of Jan Wierzba and Krystyna Bembenek. She was baptized on April 20, 1851 at Lipusz, Kreis Berent, West Prussia (Poland). Her patrons (godparents) were Anton and Jozefa Zywicki. She married Tomasz Wojciechowski about February 1872, probably in Lipusz. Together they had one child; Feliks. After her first husband and only child died, she left for America. She arrived in the United States sometime in 1874. She married Jozef Szudrowicz on June 28, 1875 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Chicago. Together they had ten children; Maryanna, John, Martha, Frank, Magdalene, Thomas, Josephine, Valentine, Michael and Stanley. She died on January 11, 1927 in Chicago. She was buried in a term grave on January 14, 1927 at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles.
