Petr Polanek was born about 1830 in Bohemia, Austria, the son of Josef Polanek and Anna Jirkovsky. He married Josefa Rusy on February 10, 1858 in Cista, Bohemia, Austria. Together they had seven children; Jan, Hynek, Josef, Anna, Josefa, Ondrej and Otto. He was a boot maker. He died on September 27, 1878 in Cista.
