Jan Januszewski was born on March 14, 1830 in Widno, Kreis Konitz, West Prussia (Poland), the son of Grzegorz Jozef Januszewski and Tereza Lukowicz. He was baptized on March 15, 1830 in Lesno. His patrons (godparents) were Jozef Orlowski and Anna Plata. He married Wilhelmina Miszewska on January 21, 1856 in Lesno, Kreis Konitz, West Prussia (Poland). Together they had ten children; Rozalia Emilia, Ewa, Anna, Franciszek, Rozalia, Michal, Dominika, Lucja, Franciszka and Teodor. On October 24, 1888 he arrived in Baltimore, MD on the "Hermann". He worked most of his life as a day laborer and carpenter. He died on April 20, 1910 in Chicago. He was buried on April 23, 1910 at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
