I have purchased 7 PC's from Micron in thelast five years. I must admit that I have hadabsolutely zero problems, no DOA systems,defective components and no problems orderingor delays/problems with shipping. I have boughtvia their website and over the telphone. Idon't know if I'm an exception or not. I doknow what I'm doing when I buy a PC so maybethat helps me avoid problems.
Ordered a Millenium 133 (top of the line at the time). The system was delivered on-time and worked perfectly. I haven't had any problems in the 2.5+ years since. My only complaint was they substituted an ADI Microscan monitor for the one they had in the ad. Overall, I would buy from them again and have recommended them to friends, family, and coworkers.
Fantastic tech support. Probably called a dozen times over the years. Never waited more than a few minutes to get to a live person.Supervisors have called me back when the first line couldn't help me. I bought a Micron Millenia Plus P200 after about 2 months of research. Everything I've done dealing with Micron has been a pleasure. The machine arrived earlier than promised, they even rebated me the $200 price drop that occured during the lag - as promised - without hassle. I turned that around into more memory. I have had no problems at all with the machine. The only regret is that I didn't get the full tower case. I've since added a tape drive and it would have made putting it in much easier. I would not only reccomend, but buy from them again, without question.

This is an update from the guy who bought the P100 Home MPC Pro. Everything is still working fine to date. I have called both customer service and tech support recently to find out if I can upgrade my Intel chip beyond 133 MHz. Micron answered the phone by the third ring and I was never on hold. Micron also has a new Webpage at www.mei.micron.com. It has been very helpful to find out company information. I suugest that anyone buying a computer should by from the "big guys" like Dell, Micron, and Gateway. I know three people who bought from the no name guys and have all had trouble. One company went Bankrupt 1 month after the computer was sent. If you go with a reputable company chances are you will get what they told you without cheap substitutions or rebuilt parts.

MAJOR Problem: Experienced Jun, 0017
Ordered a P100 Home MPC Pro, but my monitor turned out to be defective. Micron sent me a video card, and a new CPU only to discover the real problem was the monitor which is not made by them (it's an ADI Microscan monitor). Everything was sent 2 day Fed-ex and they paid for everything. No hassles at all and some people in Tech Support or very good others are bad. Everything except the monitor still works great after 2 months. The system was custom and delivered in 9 days. I would buy again. The service was great. They also upgraded me to Encarta 96 and Quicken 5.0 free of charge and sent me an extra copy of Microsoft Office 95 Pro.

I was told it would take 10 business days to receive my computer. It arrived in 4. They also switched monitors to a trinitron variety which was a very pleasant surprise.

MINOR Problem: Experienced Jun, 0010
Ordered on May 22, 1995. Salesperson said I would have my machine in 2 weeks, Three weeks later I still didn't have it, finally exactly 4 weeks after I ordered it, it arrived. Got everything I ordered and a free piece of software I didn't expect. My CD-ROM drive went bad in September, tech support was helpful and a replacement drive arrived in 2 days. Installed it, sent the old one back no hassles, everything has worked fine since.

Excellent system. Documentation is poor. Avg wait for phone tech support 30 min. I spent 2 wks trying to track dosn an intermittent boot problem - ended up replacing the video card, power supply, motherboard, and finally! the modem (problem solved). TS was quite good about FedExing the replacement parts. I did all the swapping myself, but they did offer onsite service for the major jobs. Some minor hassles returning parts (at their cost), i.e. missing shipping labels.
