Minor delays trying to contact them...but helpful once you get through. Working on replacing my 2nd Quantum Bigfoot 2.5G HDD since I Ordered the PC in Nov 96.

I purchased a computer system from them 2 years ago. My system is under a 3-year warranty. After 2 years, my monitor is dead. There is no answer at the orginal phone number, nor can information find any company listed under "Global Micro Experts." I tried searching the web, but I came up dry. If anyone knows how I can reach this company, please let me know.Distressed

1) Speaker/subwoofer system advertised as "500W" was actually around 10W and blew out at half volume within 1 week. After a RMA. I have yet to be credited for shipping costs.2) system came with the INCORRECT drivers pre-installed for my USRobotics 33.6 Voice/Data/Fax modem, yet their tech support repeatedly assured me everything was fine.3) the company has gone through a major overhaul in their customer database, and for several months I was told their "system was down, try back later." When I DID try back, most of my correspondence records were not there.4) I later discovered this company was listed among several that sold a "FAKE CACHE" on their motherboards.

Good warranty, but you can't get through to customer service or tech support. These folks are obviously under staffed. Support following the sale is much less than desirable. They have now had my modem for over one month and say they don't know why they can't expedite. I could go, but it would be more of the same.

No live tech support. Must leave number. Theycall you and if you're not home you have tocall AGAIN. Sent back bad RAM with RMA and17 days later (they said 5 to 9 days) stillhaven't rec'd it. Have probelm with mother-board and left message with them and still haven't been contacted. Tech guy on a previous call never called back when wewere inadvertantly cut off. If you thinknothing will ever go wrong with the stuffyou buy they would be fine. Otherwise,forget it.

Ordered some components. Got them in less than a week, except for the hard drive which they did not have in stock, so I called to change my order on the HD, and got one the next day, which was a big pleasant surprise! Everything has been working great so far.
