I had a DX466 5 years ago and they replaced the CPU and Motherboard ... no problems.So, I ordered a PII-300 around the first of the year. Hard drive went out, got replaced but didn't work correctly. Tech Support was terrible (which is actually a warranty company at 626-961-6688. I've been in computers for 17 years and know a bit about customer support. These guys couldn't find their butt with both hands. Avoid at all costs!! Go buy a Gateway. I own two and have never had any problems at all and they bent over backwards to accomodate my needs as a businessman BIGTIME! Email me if you have questions about these comments or about Comtrade.

Since I bought my Pentium II 300 Mhz computer in Feb, 1998, I had to replace CDROM, and Hard drive(s). The computer never ran the way it was supposed to. Its customer support phone line is always either busy or unavailable. The monitor is on its last leg. Now I heard that the company went out of business after bilking number of people like me who are totally disgusted with the whole experience.

Tech support is so messed up words can not describe. Near impossible to get through to tech support, rude techs, and managers that don't care about customer satification are just the begining of the poor treatment you at their customer service/tech support.I could not be payed to deal with this company again.

I think these magazines selling to consumers and rating these companies need to do a little investigating themselves.

What good is technical support if you can never get through? I even tried their non-800 number and immediately was dumped into a holding que where I was forced to listen to a recording telling me what a valuable customer I am! What a joke. Promise people the world then put them on hold when they call. NEVER buy from Comtrade. Mine is sitting on the shelf while I try to find someone I can pay to fix it. I went out and bought an AST and I love it.

Tech support is awful and hard to reach.On-site warranty only made problems worse. In first year keyboard failed, CD-ROM failed, Floppy drive failed. Sound card is full of problems. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!
