My Motorola Four Phase Systems S-2000

The system configuration (to the best of my knowledge):

This is a weird one, very interesting architecture. This machine was evidently built as a bridge between two architectures. The CPU unit contains a split bus with an 8-bit side and a 16-bit side with a card for intercommunication between the two. The 8-bit side has a CPU card with a 2MHz 6809, and a memory card. From what I've been able to find out (I can't get the machine to boot up, probably because the EEPROMS that held the system configuration have lost their minds) this side runs an operating system similar to OS-9 level 2. According to a Motorola engineer I have spoken with this operating system was a paging version of an earlier 8-bit motorola operating system. I have also been told that the non-paging version of this OS was the parent of OS-9. The 16-bit side has a CPU card with an 8MHz 68010 and a memory card as well. This side supposedly runs a version of UNIX. All I/O is done through the 8-bit side of the machine, to the point that the UNIX filesystem is implemented as a file in the filesystem on the 8-bit side. The system I have has 6 serial ports (2 RS-422 and 4 RS-232) and a SCSI interface. The drive system (which is in a separate case) has an IOmega tape drive and an MFM hard drive connected into an adaptor to interface it into the SCSI bus. I think this would be one of my most interesting machines if only I could get it to run. I would be interested in any information anyone has about this machine, particularly that which might help me get it up and running.
