This manga has a tragic ending, which hits me with a big surprise. The title should have warned me: why throw a kiss to the North star if the significant other is still alive. In any case the manga tells the story of the impossible love between a student and a teacher. Complicating the matter is the fact the teacher still have deep feelings for his long dead girl friend.

I still like this manga. Contrasting with typical manga, this one starts out a little bit slow, but then gathers steam, ending in a jaw dropping conclusion. Kurita sure pulled a fast one on me. I was reading just fine, then ... 'what the?!'... WHAM!!
