Shiho is a private actress. She is not an ordinary call girl. She only accepts an assignment when her acting skill makes her necessary. She needs the money for school tuition, and living expenses. Shiho is born outside of a regular marriage. She has been living apart from her actress Mom for a while now. Shiho's keen sense of street smart protects her from the dangers of her job.

The series consist of a number of self-contained short stories linked together. Shiho's encounters are filled with deception, mystry, and twisted emotions. This is no ordinary sappy romance. I was able to obtain only the first two volumes, but I am impressed by the energy level of these short stories. As street Shoujo stories go, "Private Actress" comes pretty good.
