This is a classic shoujo manga about the life of an orphan girl growing up. The orphan girl's name is Candy. She appears to be a wildly energetic girl, but inside she has a considerate personality.

Although she is adopted by a rich family, those people who dislike her orphan background try to make her life miserable. With her close friends' help, Candy manages to overcome the difficulties, and come out as a better person.

I feel the story is wonderfully endearing. At some sad moments in the story, I couldn't help but feel for their sorrow. Again, it is a classic not to be missed by a serious fan.
