Yuri discovered through her grandma's well, that her mother is really alive. Her mother is a famous movie star whose children all have different fathers.

Yuri arrived at her mother's house. No wonder it's a completely dysfunctional family. It didn't help Yuri that she is chubby and ugly in a 'cute' way, while the rest of her family all are very beautiful.

Yuri's warm personality did have an impact on the family. Yuri's two brothers started a possibly incestuous relationship with Yuri. One brother is an alcoholic, while the other one is gay.

I am glad to say the outrageous plot line works! Yuri as a person is a nice portrait of the "ugly duckling" type. It is a refreshing departure from the usual shoujo beauty fares.
