Please Check Item Availability
Below are some general rules on the sale or trade of cameras. In summary, they translate to a few simple guidelines:
1) The prices are generally not negotiable. These are my collection pieces, and, I have established what I feel is a fair price given what I paid, the current market price/availability, and my degree of interest in selling the item.
2) The prices do not include shipping or insurance - or
3) I will ship to you by either regular Postal Service or United Parcel Service. The choice will be made on a number of factors, but primarily it will be decided by the cost of shipping and the availability of insurance to adequately cover the price of an item.
4) Payment must be in the form of a money order or check in U.S. dollars drawn on an U.S. Bank. I can not accept non-U.S. currency, or checks drawn on banks outside the U.S. Don't even ask the question about VISA or MASTERCARD....I am a collector not a New York Mail Order business.
5) Once we work out the particulars of the transaction, I will provide you with a mailing address for you to send payment to.
The cameras are described as closely as possible. When possible, I have
included grading codes. In general, cameras in 9 and above condition are very
attractive. cameras that are in condition 8 show signs
of careful use. Cameras below condition 8 will shows
heavier signs of use. I have tried to be conservative. It is my hope that when
you get the item in your hand, you find that it was accurately described, and
perhaps a little better than you expected.
When a camera is described detail, it becomes clear that any single code system does not fully describe the condition. However, when you read a detailed description listing all of the little buff areas, bright marks, and nicks, the camera may sound awful. In fact, minor nicks and scuffs may not materially detract from the camera's display qualities as long as the overall finish of the item is preserved. I have tried to also give a general appearance assessment to reflect the way the camera looks when not viewed with a microscope.
As far as mechanical condition, I will describe the general shutter and mechanical function. It should be understood that the cameras have not been lubricated and adjusted by a repair expert, and therefore, the shutter speeds may not be exactly accurate. In fact, with some of the older Asahiflex and Asahi Pentax cameras, some shutter curtains may be slow or not fully close. If you want a properly timed shutter so that you will have exact shutter speeds, that is a job you will have to take care of yourself. I do not guarantee the accuracy of the shutters or adjustments made by anyone after they leave my possession.

Foreign Customs Declarations:
Please do not ask me to mark a package as a "Gift" - These transactions are merchandise. Also, the Post Office has informed me that a buyer can direct me to place an amount on the Customs Declaration that they believe is the true value. So, unless you direct me to place a revised value on the form, I will place the sale price of the item. You can only insure an item for the sale price or the revised value you have assigned to an item - whichever is less.
My policy is to provide refund for items that are not as I described. I do not provide warranties or guarantees on cameras. If you purchase an items and a refund is appropriate, I will refund the total amount that you paid. I do not refund any duties or transaction fees. For example, if you country required a duty, or if you bank requires a funds transfer fee, I do not refund those - only the cost of the item and shipping. When an item is not eligible for a refund, I will label it as such in the description. When so note, it is being sold "as-is" without the possibility of return.
