RPR CO was started by Rusty aprox 20 years ago as a Volvo repair operation that consisted of a single car garage at his parents house and engines being rebuilt in his bedroom. As the volume of customers seeking his repairs grew so did the amount of Volvo parts stocked. Upon graduating from college the business was moved to a small comercial garage in Berkeley, Ca. Eventually customers and repair garages started seeking out parts from RPR CO and a choice had to be made of staying in repair or going into parts only. Since he wanted to do one or the other and had done repair for quite a while he deceided to switch into parts and has slowly expanded the parts operation over the last 15 years. Aprox 4 years ago the business moved to Albany, Ca. into the auto parts store shown on the home page. This location has aprox 3,000 sq ft devoted to Volvo Parts. Information systems have been very important and much time has been invested in custom computer descriptions of parts for the RPR computer program as well as Volvo microfiche, Volvo parts books, and parts bulletins and Volvo service updates. The RPR CO also has a printing microfiche machine and fax to help customers with parts questions by sending parts diagrams via fax.

The RPR CO also has several large warehouses serving it that can deliver parts ordered in the morning in time to ship out the same day. One of these is shown below, but there are several more.

The San Francisco Bay Area is a Volvo hotspot and allows us to have access to an incredible number of sources, both Original Volvo and aftermarket, in most cases the same day if ordered in the morning, or up to 2.30 p.m. East Coast time.
