I Am Attempting To Compile A List Of _Friends And Family_ , Events In
Her Life and Important Marilyn Info
She was diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic, the same disease that
destroyed her parents and brother. Her daughter would not live with her
mother for almost twelve more years and this second attempt at a family
was almost as bad as the first and after seven month, Marilyn moved
and Mother asked to be sent back to the asylum.
After Marilyns death Gladys became very suicidal. When she was well
enough she would escape the hospital and roam the cities.
On one of these excursions her managed to remarry and then went to
live with her daughter Bernice... and in 1970 was well enought to
live in a retirement home.

Marilyn's mom had a history of mental disturbances. Her was
married to Jack Baker but he is not Marilyn's father.
By the time Norma Jean was born, her mother was married to Edward Mortenson..
one of two men thought to be Marilyns dad. He had, like her first husband,
abandon the family.
At the same time she was to give birth, Gladys was also seeing a man
named C.Stanley Gifford, the second man said to possibly be her father.
He also did not claim the family. Being young and pretty Miss
Gladys Baker, as she was mostly called, did not want to raise a infant, so
she fostered Marilyn out to a family named Hawthorne for $5.00 a week.
Times were fast in Hollywood and she wanted to play. She had a job as a
film cutter at Columbia studios and dreamed of getting a rich husband and
big house and told her daughter someday she would take her home.
The only time Marilyn, as a child could remember her mother staying
longer then a day with her was once when she was sick, her mother took off
work for a week and nursed her back to health.
At the age of eight, her Mother rented a bungalow, and then she rented all
the rooms except two, where she and daughter lived... Marilyn was
very happy to be living with the beautiful woman with the red hair..
but this happiness was to be short lived, as after a few months,
Gladys had a nervous breakdown and was put away in the same hospital
Gladys own motherhad died in..Norwalk State Asylum.
After this Marilyn was to start to become well known and told the
press both of her parents were dead.
When the deception was uncovered Marilyn said that she was
lying to protect her invalid mom and to guard there new found relationship.
Gladys was sent to a country club like sanitarium after this,
with Marilny paying the bill. She was to live there fifteen
years with the payments paid from a trust Marilyn set up before
her death in the amount of $100.000., of which $5000. was drawn
annually.
Due to legalities and lank of funds, she never received any money
beside the payment to the hospital.
In March 11, 1984, her died of heart failure in Florida. She
outlived her daughter by 20 years.
*Beauty Regimen:
She wash her face 15 times a day.
*She used vaseline and ponds cold creme on her face
*She applied olive oil to her face when not using make-up.
*She would pratice in front of the mirror, learning to lower
her smile to hide a high gum line.
*She would take ice baths, and always addedChanel #5.

In 1949, Miss Monroe was just another blonde actress without a contract

On May 27 1949 Mr Kelly and his wife, Natalie, shot 24 nude photos..
of which he sold 2, 1 to become the famous "Golden Dreams"

"The New Wrinkle" the others were stolen from Mr Kelly's file
cabinet..
In 1952, the photo session was made public and Marilyn was exposed as
the Mona Monroe in the calandars. Fox Studio asked MM to lie and say
she was not the red velvet calendar girl, but she saw no reason to lie,
