This is an animation created using the individual luminance frames that had been composited for the original single-frame comet shot. Each frame was exposed for 20 seconds and took approximately 37 seconds to download from the camera to the laptop, giving a total time for each frame of about 67 seconds. In that relatively short time, the comet moved some 40 arcseconds.
