- Reduce number of parts on table to be ground
- Incease spacing between parts with load pattern
- Decrease Downfeed rate on feed dial to smaller
number
- Increase Table Speed
- lncrease Tilt of grinding wheel spindle so that
pattern runs in one direction and forces parts towards blocked surface
- Dress grinding wheel
- Use a Softer Jowitt & Rodgers wheel specification
- Decrease coolant flow to soften wheel bond
- Try mixing coolant at a richer concentration
- Check the incoming part hardness

- Increase number of parts on table to be ground
- Load parts closely together to create solid areas
- Increase Downfeed rate on feed dial to larger number
- Decrease Table Speed
- Flatten Tilt of grinding wheel spindle to obtain
crosshatch pattern
- Increase Sparkout for finish
- Use a Harder Jowitt & Rodgers wheel specification
- Check for excessive amount of stock on part or
if moving on table due to bad flatness
- Coolant is too hot and softening bond
