Remember the old song that went "Love letters straight from the heart"?
This design is meant to put you in the right mood for romance and the old fashioned practice of writing letters to people you care about. The collection includes a folder in which you can keep your most special stationery and envelopes, a coordinating stamp holder, and a faux hardanger design for a deskbox to hold your writing instruments.
The model of the Watercolour Hearts Deskbox shown above was stitched on Zweigart White Belfast linen and uses two shades of Caron Watercolours, Kreinik braid, and Mill Hill Petite beads. Specialty stitches used are Kloster Blocks and Algerian Eyelets. The design is shown mounted in a Long Desk Box from Sudberry House.
The Stationery Keeper has plenty of room for letter paper and envelopes. It was stitched on White Belfast Linen with Caron Soie Cristale silk and uses Four Sided Stitches and Algerian Eyelets to give it an airy, open look. Finished size is approximately 7 1/4 inches wide by 11 inches tall when folded.
The Stamp Holder is shown stitched both on White Belfast and Antique White Belfast Linen. Finished size is approximately 3 inches wide by 4 inches tall when folded. As an extra bonus, the stamp holder is also the right size to hold standard business cards.
