First a description of the boat I am building.

Hammer is designed by me with the aid of hull design software, HULLFORM 7G. The design is explained in more detail later, but it is intended to be a high performance offshore fishing boat. High performance means in this case, a relatively light boat that has a "fast" bottom design. Its deep vee, and sharp entry are features designed with the often choppy coastal waters of the Northern Gulf of Mexico in mind.

The Hull:

29'-91/2" LOA (including integral motor bracket)
7' Max Beam @ waterline, 8"-6" beam @ midship gunnel
4000(+/-) lbs. (est.) dry (no motors)
25.5 deg. deadrise @ transom ,55 deg. entry
Center console configuration
Power- twin 225 or 250 hp outboards

About Me
I am Ron White.  I am planning on building almost everything "from scratch" except the fuel tanks.  My main fishing objective is Tuna in my home waters of Louisiana off the mouth of the Mississippi River   I have incorporated my ideas about customizing this boat for my type of fishing, so if that is your interest, read on.
