Paw Prints was created in 1997 as a "playground" for web development skills training. It has grown over the years to thousands of pages but is still used primarily to practice Web-building skills and to share humorous stories with friends and family.

So what are our sources?

Anecdotes. Unless otherwise stated, all anecdotes are taken from The Little, Brown Book of Anecdotes, Clifton Fadiman, general editor. ©1985. Little, Brown and Company, Inc. Unfortunately, this book is out of print. In addition, several anecdotes have been gleaned from books, newspapers, etc. and those sources are indicated on the pages where those particular anecdotes appear.

Factoids. The factoids are from various sources, mostly newspaper columns edited by like-minded trivia lovers and from our large collection of books of facts and trivia, almanacs, encyclopedias, etc. We have drawers-full of newspaper clippings that some members of the family periodically threaten to burn!

Quotes. The quotes are from numerous sources, including several dictionaries of quotations. If you listen long enough, everyone will say something worth quoting.

Photos. Many of the photos are from our personal photo albums, or are royalty free images found on the Internet. Attribution is indicated where known.

To the best of our knowledge, all of the anecdotes, facts, and quotes are accurate. We have not concocted any of the information on our pages...reality is much more interesting than anything you can imagine. Our opinions are, of course, our own.

The information is intended as entertainment, so don't make any life-changing decisions based on what you read here. That's probably good advice for anything you might find on the Internet.
