Who is MIB? MIB is a Ultima Online guild on the Baja and Siege Perilous shards. Our mission is to hunt down and kill as many murderers, thieves and scumbags as we possibly can. Hell, someone has to try to keep them in check.
Guild History
MIB was started back in the old "Dread Lord" days by a group of friends who got sick and tired of the many rampaging groups of Player Killers (Murderers) who used to reap havoc throughout the land of Britannia. Rather than continuing to be their victims we decided to gather together as many honorable and trustworthy people as we could and create an Anti-PK guild and start fighting back. At first, we lost a good many fights, but as our skills improved and our tactics sharpened we started to kill more and more murderers. There are a lot of people out there who claim to be Anti-PKs. We don't just make this claim, we prove day in and day out that we are. It's not just an adventure... it's a job. Without wanting to sound egotistical, I think MIB is the single most successful Anti-PK guild on the Baja shard. I also believe our kill page proves it. Who else can lay claim to over 1000 PK kills? No one.
Guild Members
MIB members are inherently good people. When we began recruiting way back when we looked for the kind of people who walked up to you fighting, saw you were trouble and helped for the sake of helping. They were not there to steal your loot. They were not there to steal your kill. And they certainly were not there to kill you. They were just helping. This is the exact kind of person we have always looked for. The next prerequisite for an MIB member was the desire to fight for justice. Even if a person was not the very best fighter in the world, if their heart was in the right place, we welcomed them. In time, these people did learn to fight and fight well.
Guild Guidelines & Standards
Never attack innocent players. We are not a PK guild. We do not murder other players.
Never steal from innocent players. Thieves are just different flavor of dirtbag; a mere step below murderers.
Never scam or take advantage of innocent players. Our objective here is to be the good guys in the eyes of other good players. We want innocents to be glad we are around. If the bad guys hate us... well... good.
Never loot innocent players. If a member of MIB comes across the corpse of an innocent player they are expected to either guard the body until the owner returns, or if the body decays to bones they are expected to bag the items and make an effort to return them to the owner. MIB Members will also make every attempt possible to resurrect any innocent player we come across (Provided we are not in the midst of a heated battle).
Do not attack grey players unless they are known criminals or are going grey to provoke you. Anyone who provokes another player in this manner will get what they asked for... ten fold.
Do not support, assist or otherwise associate with known criminal elements. People remember these things and over time the credibility of the entire guild suffers when its member are seen hanging out with scumbags. The old adage "Sleep with dogs, and wake up with fleas." is very applicable. I made this mistake before, and in time, I paid for it.
Always back up another guild mate. Our mission is a difficult one and we need every member to be prepared to fight, to the death if need be, in the aid of a fellow MIB member. Anyone who can't do this has no place fighting by our side. Always remember... The ass you save might be my own.
From time to time, we have been accused of of being Noto-PKs. NPKS are people who attack other players purely based on their notoriety. Is this statement true? Well, yes and no. Yes, we attack Murderers (Reds) on sight. Yes, some people have gone red by mistake, but our opinion is that if this happened they should spent the time required to become blue again in reclusion. Verturing out into the harsh world as a known criminal is a risk people choose to make. We only attack Criminals (Greys) when we are sure they are not grey on accident. If that person is a known dirtbag, we will we make every effort to kill them. Do we ever attack Innocents (Blues)? Yes, on occasion. Why? Many people cower behind thier perceived innocence to aid and abet criminals. If we feel the crime committed is worth our accepting a murder count to avenge it, we will do so.
A lot of people out there hate us. Why? Well, there are a lot of scumbags in the game, and they just don't like getting their kicked. They constantly talk trash; calling us "Newbies", Lamers", "NPKs", "Gang Bangers" etc. This usually happens after we kick their asses a few times. We can't let it bother us. These people victimize anyone they can, and when they are the agressor they do the same things they cry and whine about when it is done to them. My opinion is... Let them cry. If they don't like us... GOOD. We are doing our job, and the land as a whole is better off for it.
