Wednesday AfternoonsWhat do you do on Wednesday afternoons? I have a new acti=
vity in
my week. On Wednesday afternoons, I “take it to the streets.”=
I
walk through various areas of I have other regular work in my week, which may sound more familiar to you: meetings of the Church Council and Vision Team, Hillcrest ministry, band practice, lectionary study, staff meetings, answering email and phone calls, wedding and personal counseling sessions, supervisory me= etings with Bob, researching and writing sermons, prayers and family time messag= es, prayer groups, pastoral calling in person or on the phone, writing my “Viewpoint” pieces, and planning worship with John. Whew! I am blocking out 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Monday and Tues= day as pastor’s drop-in hours. I generally expect to be in the office then= and you are welcome to drop in and chat. If you need an appointment at another time, please call my private line at 650-369-0345. But on Wednesday afternoon, I take it to the streets. Let= me know if you’d like to join me some afternoon. Your church provided our family with spiritual guidance, sanctuary, comfort, and joy on many occasions.
