A picture from "Bedford in Times Past" (A.E. Baker and N.C. Wilde) showing the George Inn and the High Street around the turn of the twentieth century. Number 5 was the house adjoining the George Inn. Bedford is represented as "Eastthorpe" and "Cowfold" in the novels.
