Prayer & Meditation

Life is fragile … handle with prayer. These are the words of one of our bishops. While there are many similarities in Christian prayer traditions, East and West, the Prayer of the Rosary is usually associated with the western Catholic tradition while the Jesus Prayer is associated with the so-called hesychast tradition of eastern Orthodox Christianity. Since our own church has both eastern and western roots, both are included. Recognizing that there are many paths leading to God, this page also contains resources on prayer and meditation from other faith traditions.
