Since 1988 Durham Boat Company has designed, constructed, and installed rowing and sculling tanks used for off season rowing, muscle specific conditioning and technique training with emphasis on the bladework component of the stroke. The Rowperfect Rowing Simulator has been designed to simulate a light racing shell in all its aspects as closely as possible. Its patented mass-balanced design, reproduces the precise interaction between rower and boat as it occurs on the water. The Rowperfect Rowing Simulator, similar to a racing shell is very sensitive to good coordination with good technique rewarded, while poor technique is not. The equivalent to "boat feel" is developed with poor technique readily detected and corrected at an early stage. Just as in a single, the Rowperfect gives you immediate feedback.
Perfect rowing technique should always be the goal of each athlete and coach. Without it, optimum performance is impossible. It is just as important as conditioning and strength. To achieve optimum performance in a crew boat every athlete must match in power application. The Rowperfect can assist in two ways. It be used a selection tool to choose the athletes that apply power in the same way or it can be used to teach the proper technique and power application with the aid of a "reference stroke" to which athletes can conform over the course of the training period. The display of the "ideal" reference stroke shown together with the superimposed actual strokes taken, help to quickly modify technique and assist the development of the optimum technique.
As an additional option, two or more units can be linked together to further develop optimum efficiency, while feeling the interaction of each individual on the performance of the group.
The Rowperfect Rowing Simulator software provides a computer screen display that meets your individual training requirements: Integrating a weight adjusted virtual speed for whatever boat type selected plus five additional display options selected from the menu of available options plus the customized graphs of your choice.

See the following site for a windows based program that manage data: "SEAN" Row-Ware for Rowperfects the Windows Session Analysis (or just SEAN for short) is a Windows program to record and analyse training sessions done on a Rowperfect rowing simulator. It is also used to organise training results. This software is down loadable and allows the Rowperfect customer easy access to workout data, tables and graphs.
