Portland Concert Review

Friday night GFR rocked the waterfront in front of about 8-10000 fans.

Pat Benetar played first...started late and went over on her time...the
band was good.

GFR started at 9 PM and played until about 10:05, when they were
told if they played anymore, they would be fined. Portland has some
sort of 10 PM curfew...the curfew for the candy-ass whimps in the
hotels around the waterfront....I say, screw them...GFR should have
been allowed to finish. As a result of this, the following songs were
dropped: One More River, SKOW, ILO, Star Spangled Banner, and
no encore...the band ended with WAAB. The masses wanted more,
but then this dweeb from the radio station walks out on stage, and
says" The concerts over...go home, we had to stop"...I say screw him
too.

The set played was great...the new song..."Sky High" is awesome...it
has that funky GFR beat and I think this song can be a potential hit.
The sound, mixed by Tim the sound guy, was right-on. The crowd
responded enthusiastically with chants of "Grand Funk....Grand
Funk!!!"

Afterwards, there was a brief meet and greet.

On Saturday, Me, Liz, Ralph, Wanda, John White and Tim Franquist
the sound guy, drove to the Oregon Coast...very nice.
