Modern Drummer Festival

May 20, 2000, Upper Montclair, New Jersey

On May 20th, 2000, Don Brewer performed at the Modern Drummer Festival Weekend sponsored by Modern Drummer Magazine. Don was one of eight drummers to perform during the two day event. Don was named one of the most influential drummers of the 20th century. His presentation included drumming to the music of Grand Funk Railroad: Are You Ready, Rock 'n' Roll Soul, Footstompin' Music, Shinin' On, Closer to Home, Mark Says Alright, T.N.U.C., and We're An American Band. Don also fielded questions from the audience, and received two standing ovations for his performance. He finished by having an audience sing-a-long to "Some Kind of Wonderful". Don Brewer...a true rock and roll legend . A video of the weekends performances, including Don's, will be released by Modern Drummer Magazine in late summer 2000....watch for it!!!
