During the "Roadkill" years, 1997 - 1998, many Roadkiller's, under the guidance and leadership of Rob "The Bear" Garrett, started a project to get Grand Funk Railroad into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This project entailed getting signatures from as many concert goers as possible (a petition), to make this happen.

Because I live in New Jersey and Alex Baltovsky lives in Staten Island, we were asked to personally deliver the package containing the over twelve thousand signatures we had gotten, directly to the corporate offices in New York City. We also included Sunny's book, a copy of the VH1 special, GFR articles, a letter and a historical multimedia presentation that I produced highlighting Grand Funks years. On the morning of June 11, 1999, Alex and I met at his house in Staten Island and took the package, via the Staten Island Ferry, into the city. This all happened during 1999, but, for some reason, I never posted a web page about this. In March 2004, Liz and I moved to another location in New Jersey, and while going through some old photos, I came across the photos I have posted below, of the trip Alex and I took to the R 'n' R Hall of Fame Offices. This page was posted on July 16, 2004...some five years after the event. One of the photos I found shows me on the Staten Island Ferry, holding the package, and in the background is New York City.....and two buildings that are not there anymore......
